Pori Moni accused of vandalising All Community Club in Gulshan

Movie actress Pori Moni on Wednesday was accused of carrying out vandalism at All Community Club in capital’s Gulshan just two days after she had filed a case with Savar police station over attempted rape and murder at Dhaka Boat Club.

According to the allegation, the actress accompanied by some people went to this club on 7 June and broke glasses.

Gulshan police station said the incident took place at midnight on 7 June. No general diary (GD) or lawsuit has been lodged till Wednesday’s 7:00 pm in this incident.

However, police say they will inspect the club in interest of the investigation. When asked, the country’s popular actress told Prothom Alo that it is a baseless allegation. Why is such an allegation raised after so many days?

Inspector of Gulshan police station (investigation) Aminul Islam told Prothom Alo that a team of Gulshan police rushed to the All Community Club at midnight on 7 June after receiving a call over the number 999.

"When we reached there, Pori Moni was breaking glasses centering an altercation. Later, none has filed any complaint regarding the matter," the police official added.

He said, “We will inspect the club again”.

Prothom Alo could not reach the authority of All Community Club for comment.
