A Dhaka court has asked the authorities concerned to submit the final report in the case filed by actress Pori Moni within 8 July.

The chief judicial magistrate court (CMM) of Dhaka has passed the order on Tuesday, police inspector Mejbah Uddin Ahmed told Prothom Alo.

He said the court fixed the date in the case filed by actress Pori Moni with the Savar police station. Earlier on Monday another case was filed under narcotics control act against businessman Nasir U Mahmud, Tuhin Siddique Omi and three others.

Police arrested five persons on Monday from Uttara in Dhaka after Pori Moni filed a case with the Savar police station over attempted rape and murder. Police also recovered 1,000 pieces of yaba and foreign liquor from their possessions.

Earlier on Sunday, Pori Moni said she, along with her friend Omi and personal makeup artist Jimi, went to a club in Ashulia after 12:00 at night on 10 June. Omi introduced her to some persons there who were drunk.

At one point, one of them tried to force her drinking alcohol and tried to rape her, alleged Pori Moni.
