Qcoom CEO Ripon placed on two-day remand
A Dhaka court on Monday placed e-commerce platform Qcoom's chief executive officer (CEO) Ripon Mia on two-day remand in a case filed with Paltan police station, reports UNB.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Asheque Imam passed the order when police produced him before the court seeking 10-day remand in the cases filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) and fraudulence.
However, Ripon's lawyer filed a petition seeking his bail. On Sunday evening, detectives arrested Ripon Mia, the founder and CEO of Qcoom, from Dhanmondi area in the capital.
