Rifles, bullets seized from Satchhori national park: BGB

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Friday seized nine air guns, three foreign rifles and 19 bullets from Satchhori national park of Chunarughat in Habiganj.

Lieutenant colonel SNM Samiunnabi Chowdhury, commanding officer of Habiganj BGB Battalion-55, confirmed the development to the media on Saturday morning.

In a press briefing, BGB said acting on a tip-off they conducted a special drive at Satchhori national park at around 8:30pm on Friday and recovered nine air guns, three foreign rifles and 19 bullets abandoned near border pillar no. 1979.

The process of lodging case over the matter is underway, BGB added.
