Two more accused in sensational Pallabi Shahin Uddin murder trial on Friday confessed their involvement in the gruesome killing and gave statement under section 164, reports BSS.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy recorded confessional statements of Iqbal and Sharif as police produced the duo along with their partner in that crime, Titu, after end of their remand in the case.

After recording their statements, the court sent the accused to jail.

Earlier on 23 May, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal placed the trio on four-day remand each.

Shahin Uddin was mercilessly hacked to death in broad daylight on 16 May, in front of his son after being called to resolve a land dispute. His mother Aklima Begum filed the case with Pallabi police station on 17 May.

Police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have already arrested almost all the accused, including the mastermind former Lakshmipur-1 lawmaker and Islami Ganatantri Party chairman MA Awal.
