Stamford University student Shipra Debnath and Shahedul Islam Sifat said they will disclose everything they know about the killing of retired army major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.

Both of them were associates of Sinha who had been staying at Cox’s Bazar to make travel videos before he was killed in police firing at the district’s Marine Drive on 31 July.

Speaking with journalists at Cox’s Bazar on Monday evening, Shipra said, “We would tell you every bit of truth. Please give us some time. There are so many rumors out there. We don’t want circulation of any misleading news.”

Sifat, who was released in bail on Monday, said he is doing well mentally and physically.

Expressing hope for transparent investigation of the incident, Sifat discarded news that he was shot in the leg.

Sifat was accompanying Sinha while he was shot dead.

After Sinha was killed, police filed a murder case against Sifat and a narcotics case against Shipra.
