The health and family welfare ministry issued a notification with a suggestion to keep movement restricted from four districts to other areas of the country during Eid-ul-Azha holidays, reports news agency UNB.
“Movement from Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Chattogram to other parts of the country is suggested to be kept halted during Eid holidays according to the suggestions of the National Technical Advisory Committee regarding COVID-19,” said the notification.
Although the notification was issued on Wednesday, it came to light on Thursday night.

“I want to make it clear that all kinds of public transports will be in operation while operations of goods-laden vehicles will remain suspended for three days before and after Eid,” he said.
However, the movement of vehicles providing emergency services, transport of perishable goods, medicine, garment equipment and cattle-laden vehicles will remain out of the purview.
