Govt appoints new DCs in 13 districts

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DC) in 13 districts of the country. A gazette notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on 5 January.

The districts with the newly appointed DCs are – Gazipur, Narayanganj, Brahmanbaria, Naogaon, Pirojpur, Rajbari, Noakhali, Chuadanga, Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Sylhet, Jhenaidah and Chapainawabganj.

According to the notification, director (deputy secretary) of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Anisur Rahman has been appointed as the DC in Gazipur, Chapainawabganj’s DC Md Manjurul Haque in Narayanganj, personal secretary of state minister for education, Md Shahgir Alam in Brahmanbaria, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Khalid Mehedi Hasan in Naogaon, deputy director of Ashrayan project Mohammad Zahidur Rahman in Pirojpur, and public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Abu Kaisar Khan in Rajbari.

Besides, home minister’s personal secretary Dewan Mahbubur Rahman has been made DC in Noakhali, cabinet division’s Aminul Islam in Chuadanga, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Nafisa Arefin in Nilphamari, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Md Aliur Rahman in Gaibandha, Jhenaidah DC Md Mojibur Rahman in Sylhet, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Monira Begum in Jhenaidah and deputy secretary of Mymensingh DC office, AKM Galiv Khan, has been appointed as the DC in Chapainawabganj.
