Govt asks hospitals, clinics to treat COVID, non-COVID patients
The public health experts suggested ensuring treatment to both COVID-19 and non-COVID patients at the same hospital in different parts of the country, said a handout of the health and family welfare ministry, reports UNB.
All private and public hospitals having 50 or more beds, clinics, and diagnostic centres have been asked to provide treatment to both COVID and non-COVID patients under separate arrangement.
Earlier, government hospitals and some dedicated hospitals were treating COVID-19 patients in the country.
Bangladesh has so far reported 38,292 coronavirus cases and 544 deaths as of Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the health authorities reported 1,541 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.
