The government aims at vaccinating 20 million people against Covid-19 by next month, health minister Zahid Maleque said on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The minister came up with this disclosure while addressing a programme as the chief guest at Manikganj Government Boys High School ground in Manikganj marking the national mourning day.
The health minister joined the programme virtually.
"We have tried our best to keep people well during the pandemic," he claimed.
Referring to the declining trend in Covid fatalities and transmissions, the minister added that the country's economy has been performing well compared to the other countries since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.
