HSIA suspends flight operation 8 hrs every day for 3 months

Flight operation at the country's main aviation hub Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) will remain suspended from 12:00am to 8:00am every day for three months from 10 December, reports BSS.

" HSIA runway will not be available for (aircraft) takeoff and landing from 10 December to 11 March next year between 0000 hrs to 0800 hrs local time due to the construction work of new connecting High Speed Taxi way," HSIA executive director group captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan told media Wednesday.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh, aircraft will have to use Sylhet International Airport in case of emergency landing within that time.
