26 died of COVID-19 in Narsingdi

A total of 26 persons died of COVID-19 and 1240 persons have so far been found infected with the lethal virus in the six upazilas of the district, reports BSS.

Civil surgeon Mohammad Ibrahim said so far 16 persons died of the novel coronavirus in Sadar, three in Belabo, three in Raipura, one in Polash, one in Shibpur and two in Monohardi upazilas.

He said a total of 1,240 persons have also been found infected with the lethal virus in the six upazilas of the district after testing 5,779 samples by now.

Among the infected persons, 817 are in Sadar, 109 in Shibpur, 101 in polash, 60 in Monohardi, 68 in Belabo and 85 in Raipura upazilas, he said.

He also said 655 patients have already recovered from the coronavirus infection as at present 29 persons are undergoing treatment in hospital isolation and 530 are on home isolation.
