As part of the regular practice to avoid the spread of novel coronavirus, a medical team entered the ship to screen the crew members, said Sufia Khatun, health officer of the port.

"The three crew members were found with body temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. We asked them to remain inside their rooms," she said, adding that two of them had normal body temperature when they were tested again on Thursday morning.

The port authorities cancelled the loading and unloading of goods from the ship until further notice and asked all crew members not to leave the vessel.
