52 people fined for not wearing masks

Separate mobile courts fined 52 people for not wearing masks in different areas in Mujibnagar upazila of Meherpur district on Monday, reports UNB.

Md Osman Goni, Upazila Nirbahi Officer also the executive magistrate, said they fined Tk 13,200 to 52 people for not wearing masks in Kedarganj, Dariapur, Monakhali, Bishwanathpu, Golakata intersection and Gopalnagar areas on Monday.

Meanwhile, two other mobile courts led by senior assistant commissioner and also executive magistrate MM Arafat Hossain fined another four people Tk 2,000 for not wearing masks in Meherpur town and Gagni upazila.

Bangladesh government has allowed public transport to move on highways and metropolitan cities on some specific conditions to curb the outbreak of novel coronavirus disease.

The passengers, drivers and helpers were asked to maintain at least three feet physical distance while travelling and everyone was asked to wear mask when they come out of home.
