7 Indian Tabligh Jamaat men put on home-quarantine
Seven members of an Indian Tabligh Jamaat congregation have been put on home-quarantine in Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali as the transmission of coronavirus has increased in the country, reports news agency UNB.
Rangabali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mashfaqur Rahman on Tuesday directed them to stay at home for the next 14 days.
Tabligh Jamaat’s upazila unit Ameer Ahmed Faisal said all of them came to Bangladesh in January to join the Biswa Ijtema in Tongi of Gazipur.
After attending the Ijtema, they visited different places in the country and came to the upazila in March. They were staying at different mosques here.
On information, the UNO along with Rangabali police station officer-in-charge Md. Ali Ahmed sent them on home-quarantine.
