A 25-year-old man dies of snake bite in Thakurgaon

A 25-year-old man has died of snake bite on Tuesday night in Ranishankail of Thakurgaon. The deceased was identified as Rubel, son of Rashid Ali of Bhoronia Mondolpara village in Dharmagarh union of the upazila, reports UNB.

According to family sources, Rubel went to bed at night but a poisonous snake lying there bit him on his neck. He was taken to Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital immediately.

Later, Rubel was referred to a hospital in Dinajpur for better treatment but he died on the way. Locals said the number of deaths from snake bite is increasing in the upazila due to the shortage of antivenom in the Upazila Health Complex.
