Advance ticket to Eid special launch services from 20 April: BIWTA

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has decided to sell tickets for special launch services in advance from 20 April, reports news agency UNB.

These launches will operate alongside the regular launches during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Mobarak Hossain Mazumdar, public relations officer at BIWTA said the decision was made at a meeting held on Sunday.

“From next Wednesday passengers will be able to buy cabin tickets in advance. These launches will operate on all routes where passenger-carrying launches operate,” he added.

Based on people’s demand the special launch service will continue up to five days after the Eid, he said.
