Chattogram virus cases approach 1500

A total of 161 more people was tested positive for coronavirus infections in the three COVID-19 laboratories in Chattogram district in last 24 hours until Saturday morning, reports BSS.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 patients rose to 1483 in Chattogram district till today.

Civil surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told the news agency that a total of 37 people was tested positive afresh for coronavirus after testing 247 samples at BITID in last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 100 more new COVID-19 patients were identified at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) lab after testing 209 samples in two days.

On the other hand, 24 COVID-19 patients were detected at CVASU lab after testing 89 samples in the same period.

So far, 50 people died of COVID-19 in Chattogram district and 146 persons released from the hospital in the same time, sources said.
