Fire ravages factory in Chattogram, two bodies recovered

A massive fire ravaged a furniture factory in Chattogram at 3:50pm on Monday while the factory was operating in full-swing.

After struggling for around two hours, twelve vehicles of fire services brought the fire, rampaged through the 'Pitupi Furniture' in Colonel Hat area of Chattogram, under control at around 5:45pm.

So far, the members of fire services have recovered two bodies from the factory, but have yet to confirm their identities, said assistant director of fire service Farooq Hossain Sikdar.

Now, they are conducting a rescue operation inside the factory, he added.
