Rooppur Power Plant worker dies after falling off reactor

A 32-year-old worker of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Pabna died after falling off the reactor of the plant on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Tushar Ahmed, son of Rafiqul Islam of Ishwardi upazila of the district, reports UNB.

Asaduzzaman Asad, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi police station, said Tushar accidently fell on the ground while working in the morning and sustained serious head injuries.

Later, he was rushed to upazila health complex and then to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, said the OC.
