Two Faridpur women test coronavirus positive

Two women were diagnosed with coronavirus in Faridpur on Friday night, raising the total number of infected patients in the district to four, reports UNB.

Among them, a woman, 32, in Dangi village in Nagarkanda upazila tested positive for coronavirus after her father had tested positive for the highly contagious virus while another woman, 47, from Chandini village in the upazila tested positive too, said civil surgeon Siddiqur Rahman.

Soon after the results were found at 9:30pm, the entire upazila was put under lockdown to avoid the further transmission of coronavirus infection in the community, he said.
