Woman dies at isolation unit in Kushtia hospital

A housewife who was undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of Kushtia General Hospital died on Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Moyna Khatun, 43, wife of Abdur Rahim of Amla Mahdipur in Mirpur upazila.

Taposh Kumar Sarkar, resident medical officer of the hospital, said the woman came to the hospital with fever, cold and respiratory problem on 10 April and then she was taken to the isolation ward of the hospital where she breathed her last around 11:30am.

But the hospital authorities are yet to receive the coronavirus test report of the woman, he said.
