National moon sighting committee meets Wednesday

The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday at 6:15 pm (after Maghrib prayers) at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque conference hall at the Islamic Foundation, reports BSS.

The meeting will review the sighting of the moon of the holy month of Rajab 1443 Hijri, said a press release in Dhaka on Wednesday.

State minister for religious affairs Mohammad Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.

If the moon of the holy month of Rajab is sighted anywhere in the sky of Bangladesh, the people concerned have been requested to inform the news through the telephone numbers –02-223381725,02-41050912,02-41050916,02-41050917 or through the fax numbers- 02-223383397 and 02-9555951 or using any other communication system, the release added.
