MP's selfie with Khadija goes viral

A selfie three women Awami League leaders took next to Khadija, who was lying on a hospital bed in a critical condition, has gone viral as Bangladeshi netizens castigated their height of insensitivity.
MP Sabina Akter Tuhin posted the selfie with Juba Awami Mohila League general secretary Apu Ukil and joint general secretary Koheli Kuddus on her Facebook profile on Wednesday evening.
Khadija, a college student who was hacked by a Bangladesh Chhatra League leader in Sylhet, is on life support at Square Hospital in the capital.
Sabina's cellphone was switched off when Prothom Alo tried to contact her.
She did not reply to the text sent to her either.
However, at 12:00am, she posted on Facebook that they wanted to debunk the rumor about Khadija's death by taking the selfie with her.
She mentioned on her Facebook status that they stand by the victims, not by the man who is not with BCL anymore.
She also said that a few people might misinterpret this photo.
Later in another status, Sabina wrote, "We despise people like Badrul. My BCL brother Imran took the girl to hospital and donated blood for her."
