Suranjit Sengupta on life support

Ruling Bangladesh Awami League (AL) MP Suranjit Sengupta has been admitted to Labaid hospital in the city for heart-related complications, reports UNB. He has been kept on life support in the hospital.

Also a former railway minister, Suranjit was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital on Friday morning, said sources at the hospital. 

Further details about his illness are still awaited.

Suranjit Sengupta is a member of AL’s advisory council and the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of law, justice and parliamentary Affairs.
