
Ruling Awami League’s publicity and publication secretary Hasan Mahmud on Tuesday said BNP’s allegations that Farhad Mazhar was abducted by the government is nothing but gibberish.
During a press conference at the party president’s Dhanmondi office, Bangladesh Awami League leader said investigation into the matter is underway and the mystery of the incident would be solved soon.
“I will ask the BNP to renounce its habit of accusing the government in every matter shortly after the incident. You [BNP] have grown a habit of levelling allegations against the government and the opposition,” said the AL leader.
The ruling party leader thanked the law enforcers for rescuinf noted columnist, journalist, and writer Farhad Mazhar 18 hours inside his disappearance and also expressed gratitude to the almighty creator.
Farhad Mazhar was reportedly abducted from his Adabar residence on Monday morning and now is in police custody for quizzing after he was rescued from Jessore.
