Chief election commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda on Wednesday said Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will take part in the next general election.
"BNP officially met the election commissioner and said they will participate in the next parliamentary election," said Nurul Huda while talking to reporters after a view exchange meeting at the deputy commissioner's office in Tangail.
BNP did not say that they will not take part in the next general election while talking before media, he said.
The dialogue with different political parties is going on and the decision of deploying army in the election will be taken after the end of the dialogues as many parties have raised the issue during dialogue, he added.
Replying to a question about Rohingyas refugees, the CEC said "The election commission is alert so that Rohingyas are not enlisted as voters."
