Cop sustains bullet injuries in Ctg

A policeman sustained bullet injuries while conducting a raid to arrest an accused at Sholoshahar no-2 rail gate in Chittagong city on Friday afternoon, says UNB.

The inured, Abdul Malek, is an assistant sub-inspector of Panchlaish police station.

Malek sustained bullet injuries in his leg as the accused opened fire at him around 5:00pm, said Nayak Shilbroto Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost.

The injured policeman was admitted at ward no. 12 of the hospital.

The accused was arrested and two motorcycles were seized from the spot, Mohiuddin Mahmud, officer-in-charge of the police station, told UNB.
