Pilot dies, death toll from US-Bangla crash rises to 50

The pilot of the crashed US-Bangla airliner, Abid Sultan, succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday, raising the death toll to 50.

An aircraft of the Bangladeshi airlines, carrying 67 passengers - 32 from Bangladesh, 33 from Nepal and one each from China and the Maldives - crashed at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday.

About 22 people, including nine Bangladeshi nationals, survived the deadliest airliner crash in the history of Bangladesh’s aviation industry.
