Train hits bus in Chattogram, 2 killed

Two bus passengers were killed and 25 others injured after a train rammed the vehicle at Bariyarhat rail crossing in Mirsharai upazila in Chattogram early Sunday, reports UNB.

One of the deceased is Sunimal Chakma. The identity of the other could not be known immediately.

The accident took place when Chattogram-bound 'Bijoy Express' hit a Khagrachhari-bound bus of 'S Alam Paribahan' in the area around 4:00am said Robiul Azam, station officer of Mirsharai Fire Service and Civil Defence.

He said two passengers died on the spot.

The accident halted rail communication on Dhaka-Chattagram route for two and half hours.
