Mother, daughter killed in road accident

A woman and her three-month- old daughter was killed as a tank lorry ran over them at Kanchpur crossing in the district this afternoon.

The deceased were Suma Akhter and her daughter Nusrat, residents of South Ruposi village in Rupganj.

Officer-in-charge of Kanchpur Highway police Shariful Islam said the accident occurred when the tank lorry ran over them in the area at about 3 pm as its driver lost control over the vehicle.

Both of them died on the spot.
