Mainul Hosein detained

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police on Monday night detained former adviser to a caretaker government Mainul Hosein in a defamation case filed in Rangpur.

Mainul Hosein was detained from the city’s Uttara area around 10:00pm, joint commissioner Md Mahbub Alam (DB) told UNB.

Several cases were filed across the country against Mainul Hosein for hurling abusive words at journalist Masuda Bhatti in a television talk-show.
