BSS managing editor Shahriar Shahid passes away

Managing editor of news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Shahriar Shahid passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital on Saturday around 1:50pm, reports BSS.

He was 55.

Shahriar, son of now defunct English daily Bangladesh Times former editor late AKM Shahidul Haque, is survived by his wife, only son and a host of relatives and admirers.

He was admitted to Apollo Hospital in the city on 14 November following a heart attack and was undergoing treatment at its coronary care unit (CCU) until his demise.
