BNP candidate Milon detained

Police arrested BNP candidate from Gazipur-5 constituency Fazlul Haque Milon from his residence at Bottul village in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur on Thursday afternoon.

Abdus Sabur, additional superintendent of police of the district, said a team of police arrested Milon, BNP organising secretary for Dhaka division and its Gazipur district unit president, around 4pm while he was holding a meeting at his house.

The police official claimed that they made the arrest as the BNP leader was facing a warrant for his arrest.
