If the voters can cast their votes, a vote revolution is bound to happen, and in that case, the victory of the Jatiya Oikya Front is inevitable, claimed Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Farkhrul Islam Alamgir.

Mirza Fakhrul told this to the media after casting his vote at Thakurgaon Government Girls’ High School centre around 8:30am on Sunday.

The voters were obstructed to enter the Thakurgaon Government College centre, Fakhrul alleged.

The BNP secretary general is contesting from Bogura-6 and Thakurgaon-1 constituencies.

Fakhrul said he had been casting his vote at the same polling centre for years. There were long queues at the centre and he would observe the polling centres as far as he could manage, he added.

Regarding the overall situation of the country the BNP secretary general said, “I didn’t quite get news in the morning.”

“We want the voters would cast their votes. Their aspirations will be fulfilled if they can cast votes. I think this will initiate the victory of democracy,” he said expressing optimism about winning the race.
