Schoolgirl ‘gang-raped’ in Thakurgaon

A class-X girl has reportedly been gang-raped by four young men at Rajagaon in Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon district, reports UNB.

The victim's father filed a case with Ruhia police station on Sunday over the incident that took place on Friday night. Police arrested one of the rapists.

According to the case statement, a local youth used to harass the girl on her way to and from school as well as over mobile phone.

On Friday night, the youth tactfully called her out of the house. However, he along with his three other associates raped the girl in turns.

Officer-in-charge of the police station Pradwip Kumar Barman said medical test on the victim was conducted at Sadar Hospital on Sunday night.

He also said they were not disclosing the names of the accused for the sake of investigation.
