Car catches fire on Dhaka flyover

A private car caught fire on a flyover in Malibagh in the capital city on Tuesday night following an alleged gas cylinder explosion, reports UNB.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

Duty officer of the fire service and civil defence central control room Ershad said the car went up in flames around 7:47pm after its gas cylinder exploded on the Mouchak-Chowdhurypara section of the Moghbazar-Mouchak Flyover.

Two firefighting units from Khilagaon rushed in and doused the flame, he said.
