Lightening kills man, nephew

A man and his nephew were killed as a thunderbolt hit them at Baorcourt village in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali on Sunday, reports UNB

The deceased were Noman Hossain, 45, son of Abdul Matin and his nephew Saiful Islam, 12, son of Babul Mia of the village.

Quoting locals, officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri police station Abdus Samad said a streak of lightning hit the duo at noon while they were watering a rice filed at the village, leaving them dead on the spot.
