Ailing minister Obaidul Quader, who was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) with three blockages in coronary arteries, is being taken to Singapore for better treatment following the advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Devi Shetty, reports UNB.

An ambulance carrying Quader left for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from the hospital at 3:20pm.

Family and medical board members are accompanying Quader.

Earlier, BSMMU vice chancellor Kanak Kanti Barua told reporters that he would be taken to Singapore for better treatment.
