Writer Helena Khan dies in US

Bangladeshi writer Helena Khan passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, USA on Friday, says a press release.

She was 91.

Besides being a novelist, she was a well-known educationist, it adds.

For her literary works, Helena received Bangla Academy award in 2008.

She was also awarded with the Bangladesh Shishu Academy Purashkar in 2001 and the Ekushey Padak in 2010.
