Over 15kg gold bars seized at Dhaka airport

A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) recovered 48 gold bars from a garbage can at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport in the capital early Saturday, reports UNB.

The price of the recovered gold bars, weighing 15.738kg, is about Tk 796,000.

Tipped off, a team of the CIID recovered the gold bars wrapped in nine packets near a washroom around 1:30am, said CIID director general Shahidul Islam.
