Firefighter injured in Banani fire taken to Singapure

Firefighter Sohel Rana, who sustained severe injuries during Banani FR Tower fire rescue operation, was taken to Singapore for better treatment on Friday, reports UNB.

Rana who was undergoing treatment in critical condition at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) will be treated at Singapore General Hospital.

An air ambulance carrying Sohel Rana took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:48pm, said a press release of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Senior station officer Rayhan Ul Ashraf of the fire service will be accompanying him during his treatment, it also reads.

Sohel Rana of Kurmitola Fire Service and Civil Defence, sustained serious injuries on 28 March while rescuing people from the FR Tower fire that claimed 26 lives and left many injured.
