2 sentenced to death for killing housewife

A Mymensingh court on Thursday sentenced two people to death and two others to life time imprisonment for killing a housewife over land dispute at Ishwarganj upazila in 2003, reports UNB.

Of the convicts- Abul Kashem, 60, and Helim, 50, were sentenced to death and Khokon Mia, 52, and Abdul Aziz Mia, 55, were awarded life time imprisonment.

Mymensingh district and sessions court judge Ehsanul Haque passed the order.

According to the case statement, on 3 November 2003, the convicts hacked the victim to death relating to previous enmity over a piece of land.
