No more household gas connections: Nasrul Hamid

State minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid on Wednesday categorically said no household gas connections will be provided in the future, reports UNB.

He said this while responding to a supplementary question in parliament.

"MPs repeatedly ask me about the issue. I'm clearly saying that no gas connections will be provided to any house from now on," said the state minister.

He said the fresh gas connections will be provided to the industrial zones and the pipelines are being installed to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the industrial zones.
