Transportation on the country’s waterways resumed on Sunday after a three-day disruption caused by very severe cyclonic storm Fani, reports UNB.

Shafiqul Alam, director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), said the services resumed around 7:00am after the Chandpur-bound launch ‘MV Bogdadia’ left from Sadarghat.

On 2 May, BIWTA suspended operations of all types of water vessels across the country due to inclement weather.

The Chattogram port resumed operations on Saturday afternoon after a 30-hour disruption caused by Fani.
