3 on fresh remand over Feni madrasa student murder

A Feni court on Wednesday placed three accused on one-day remand in the case filed for Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder, reports UNB.

The accused are -- Shahadat Hossain Shamim, Javed Hossain and Jobayer Ahmed.

Senior judicial magistrate Md Jakir Hossain passed the order.

Earlier, the three accused gave statement to the court confessing their guilt.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) inspector Md Shah Alam, also investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court seeking a two-day remand for each.

Madrasa student Nusrat was set afire on 6 April at an examination centre for refusing to withdraw a sexual harassment case against the principal of the madrasa.

She died on 10 April at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
