AL activist abducted, killed in Bandarban

An activist of ruling Bangladesh Awami League was shot to death after being abducted in Bandarban sadar upazila early Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Kya Ching Thowai Marma, 27, son of a certain Ta U Thowai Marma. Kya was an activist of Awami League's ward no. 5 unit in Rajbila union.

Police said armed criminals barged into Kya Ching's house and abducted him around 2:00am.

"He was found dead with gunshot wounds about an hour later at no. 8 Punorbason Para," said Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station.
