Jute mill worker hacked dead in Jashore

A jute mill worker was stabbed to death by miscreants at Bahadurpur in Sadar upazila on Monday.

The deceased was Shahid Kazi, 28, a worker of Afsan Jute Mills and son of Lokman Kazi of Magura district.

Hayat Mahmud, sub-inspector of Kotwali police station, said three miscreants swooped on Shahid and stabbed him indiscriminately around 2:30pm, leaving him injured.

Later, he was taken to Jashore General Hospital where the physicians declared him dead.

Police arrested a man for his suspected involvement in the incident.
