A nurse died while giving birth to a baby, due to alleged wrong treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Sunday night, reports UNB.

Mrs. Dilara Khatun, 30, who was a nurse of RMCH, died in the hospital during a caesarean delivery three days after being hospitalised, family members said.

She was suffering from excessive bleeding and was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and physicians decided to do the C-section on Sunday, UNB quotes the family to say.

Following the death, agitated nurses of the hospital took position in front of the director's office.

“Physicians and nurses involved in the treatment have been summoned," brigadier general Md Jamilur Rahman, director of RMCH, said adding “We will scrutinise the matter with due concern.”

The deceased nurse was wife to Mithun Mia from Bagha, Rajshahi.
