A video of this shocking incident has gone viral on the social media.

The deceased, Shah Neyaj Rifat Sharif, 25, was the son of Halim Dulal from Burirchar union of Barguna sadar upazila.

Witnesses said, Rifat Sharif was attacked while he was coming back from Barguna Government College where his wife Ayesha Siddika studies. Local miscreants named Noyon, Rifat and two others swooped on him at the college's gate.

Rifat had enmity with Noyon over his marriage with Ayesha, he added.

Rifat’s friends said that Noyon is son of some Abu Bakar Siddique of Barguna Government College hostel area. Noyon started claiming Ayesha as his former wife after Rifat married her two months ago.

Noyon also hacked Ayesha’s facebook page and posted obscene content from it, they claimed.

Abir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Barguna police station, said they have conducted a drive to nab the killers.

Barguna police and Detective Branch (DB) are jointly conducting drives to detain Noyon, he added.

The OC also said Noyon was accused in a number of other cases.
